About the role
- The Operations & Project Manager leads the Operations and Project function within the Veneer Interior at Hunter Group.
- This role is responsible for strategic planning, operational excellence, and project oversight, ensuring all interior and furniture production projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- The role also ensures process optimization, team leadership, and cross-department alignment to achieve objectives and operational KPIs.
- Lead and manage the Operations & Project Department, including production, design, R&D, and project management team.
- Develop and implement operational strategies and processes to optimize production, project delivery, and departmental efficiency.
- Oversee all interior and furniture production projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor resources (human, material, and equipment) for projects and operations across the BU.
- Set department KPIs and performance targets, monitor results, and ensure accountability across teams.
- Coordinate closely with Design, Production, and Installation teams to ensure smooth flow and operational efficiency.
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans to prevent delays, cost overruns, or quality issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
- Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders to ensure expectations are met and operational standards are maintained.
- Lead, mentor, and develop department staff, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and results-driven culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in operations and project management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects and operational teams in interior fit-out, furniture, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of interior materials, veneer, production processes, and furniture manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and team management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and process orientation.
- Strategic mindset, results-driven, and a can-do attitude, with strong stakeholder and client communication skills.
