About the role

Prepare court complaints for both criminal and civil cases.
Review documents, complaints, and evidence to ensure accuracy and compliance with the law.
Represent L.O.L.C. in civil and criminal cases.
Collaborate with partner lawyers and/or legal partners to expedite court proceedings efficiently.
Participate in debt mediation.
Participate in resolving overdue debt outside of court.
Prepare various legal documents for branch use.
Provide legal advice to relevant staff to promote efficient debt resolution.
Provide training to relevant staff on legal aspects, including filing complaints with courts and out-of-court complaints.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department/Director.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Law or a law degree declared equivalent.
Full-fledged lawyer with a professional competency certificate issued by the Training Center for Legal Professionals, and no disciplinary sanctions.
Experience as an Assistant Judge or Assistant Prosecutor is encouraged.
Experience in legal work at a bank or microfinance institution is preferred.
Knowledge of microfinance institutions and related credit laws such as Land Law, Civil Law, Criminal Law, and Contract Law.
Communication skills, negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a team.
