About the role

  • To coordinate and implement the action plan of the Youth for Cambodia Project directly with the target group and stakeholders in the target areas of the project in Kaoh Nheaek District, Mondul Kiri Province.
  • This role focuses on vulnerable youth and families to improve their livelihoods and strengthen their spirit, empowerment, and participation in community development work effectively and efficiently, in line with the development goals of the Youth for Cambodia Project.
  • Plan and implement activities in line with the project's direction and master plan, especially in the context of climate change.
  • Organize training courses/workshops to raise awareness among youth and vulnerable families about life skills in agriculture, animal husbandry, and entrepreneurship to increase income and improve livelihoods.
  • Participate in organizing and disseminating educational benefits and various activities to youth and stakeholders in the target areas.
  • Participate in meetings and workshops with authorities and key stakeholders to promote cooperation and facilitate project implementation.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate project outcomes or impacts, and collect and record all important evidence for reflection, learning, and timely adjustment of project activities.
  • Participate in discussions with various stakeholders to identify new core issues related to livelihood improvement and address them according to the actual situation and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare reports, minutes, and other documents regularly and report to project leadership in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in agriculture, livelihood promotion, or an equivalent certificate.
  • General & Technical Skills: Have work experience in income generation and livelihood promotion.
  • Have knowledge and experience in communication at the sub-national and national levels.
  • Have knowledge and experience in monitoring project progress and impacts, and recording evidence of positive and negative impacts of the project for reflection and adjustment of project activities to be more effective.
  • Have high-level Khmer writing and reading skills and good English writing and reading skills are preferable.
  • Have knowledge and skills in using computers for work (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email & Internet).
  • Have knowledge and skills in planning, report writing, and other minutes.
  • Able to drive a motorcycle and can go to work in the project target villages independently.
  • Soft Skills Have knowledge related to and skills in facilitation, organizing training programs, dissemination, and various workshops.
  • Have the will and passion for community development work in remote areas.
