About the role

Preparing and checking medication prescribed to the patient.
Identifying potential interactions between drugs and providing information to the patient.
Ordering stock and ensuring that it is kept in appropriate conditions.
Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all medication processed through the pharmacy.
Offering advice on dosages, side effects and other aspects of drug interaction.
Delivering community healthcare services such as prescription collection and delivery.
Offering screening programs for common ailments such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
Recruiting, hiring and training staff including overseeing Trainee Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants.
Working with the pharmaceutical staff to maintain a clean, customer-friendly workplace.

Requirements

A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited program.
State licensure is required to practice.
Strong communication, attention to detail, analytical skills, and knowledge of pharmacology.
Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
