• The Head of Safeguarding and Pastoral Care is responsible for leading and managing the social work to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and holistic development of students.
• The role oversees case management, child protection, family support services, counseling interventions, and community engagement initiatives.
• The Head of Safeguarding and Pastoral Care works closely with school leadership, teachers, families, and external stakeholders to promote student welfare, strengthen family support systems, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, supervise, and provide technical guidance to the Social Work team to ensure effective delivery of student welfare and family support services.
• Develop, implement, and monitor social work policies, procedures, and case management systems in accordance with organizational and child protection standards.
• Oversee the identification, assessment, and support of students and families facing social, emotional, behavioral, financial, or protection-related challenges.
• Ensure timely and appropriate responses to child protection concerns, safeguarding issues, abuse allegations, neglect, gender-based violence, and other high-risk cases.
• Lead case management processes, including risk assessments, intervention planning, referrals, follow-up actions, and case reviews.
• Coordinate with school leadership, teachers, and support staff to develop and implement learning and behavioral support strategies for students requiring additional assistance.
• Conduct or oversee home visits, family assessments, and community outreach activities to strengthen student and family support.
