The Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for creating and growing new revenue streams outside CLA's core -age programs.
The role targets three areas: corporate B2B English and Chinese training contracts, a public shop programme delivered through freelance trainers, and ongoing market intelligence to guide CLA's growth strategy.
Key Responsibility 1 — B2B Corporate Training (English & Chinese) Identify and approach es in Phnom Penh with a need for staff training.
Sell evening and weekend corporate training programmes to ing professionals, covering: Professional English, English for Leadership & Management, Writing, Problem Solving, Cooperation & Team, Critical Analysis, Self-Discipline, Planning & Goal Setting, and Chinese courses.
Own the full B2B sales cycle: prospecting, proposal, pricing, contract close, and account renewal. with the Academic Manager to scope client training needs into deliverable course content.
Build and maintain a pipeline of corporate accounts and repeat.
Key Responsibility 2 — Freelance Trainer Net & Public shops Recruit and manage a net of freelance trainers and facilitators across -related subjects.
Develop a public shop programme (open-enrollment, ) built on this trainer net.
Negotiate freelancer terms, shops, and oversee quality of delivery.
Manage shop marketing and enrollment in coordination with the Marketing Supervisor.
Key Responsibility 3 — Market Analysis Conduct ongoing competitor analysis (pricing, positioning, offerings) across the Phnom Penh education market.
Identify gaps and opportunities CLA can exploit for growth, including in adult/professional and B2B segments.
Report findings and recommendations to the Director to inform strategy.
Requirements
Proven B2B sales or development experience, ideally in education, training, or a services sector.
Strong net or demonstrated ability to build one within the Phnom Penh community.
Comfortable selling both English and Chinese- corporate training products.
