About the role

The overall objective of the assignment is to develop evidence-based Community Adaptation Plans for the target Community Protected Areas (CPAs) and establish reliable baseline values for project indicators to support project implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and adaptive management, and long-term climate resilience.
Specific objectives of the assignment are to: Generate reliable baseline data for all applicable indicators in the SCALE+ Project Results Frame.
Assess the current status of climate adaptation and best practices, biodiversity conservation, climate-resilient crop-livestock systems, and value chain market analysis in the project areas.
Assess existing knowledge, practices, services, governance systems, and institutional capacities relevant to climate adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable livelihoods in the target CPAs.
Develop a comprehensive baseline database, indicator matrix, and monitoring tools to support implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and adaptive management.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in their respective areas of expertise.
Experience in similar types of assignments and knowledge of climate change issues is highly preferred.
Experience as a trainer of research methodology and tools and experience in leading teams in similar field data collection assignments is required for Field Team Leaders.
Minimum five (5) years demonstrated consulting experience conducting key informant interviews, and social research.
At least two years’ experience in conducting similar research initiatives.
Experience in applying a wide range of methodologies and research tools, both quantitative and qualitative.
Experience in working on climate change and/or gender issues is an advantage.
Experience in working in Cambodia and working with public institutions is an advantage.
Experience in producing high quality reports and communication products.
