About the role

Conduct structured literature reviews and targeted research on climate risk vulnerability, protected area governance, biodiversity conservation, nature-based solutions, and ecosystem-based adaptation.
Support quantitative and spatial analysis, including field survey where applicable.
Synthesize findings into outputs aligned with PAD-III reporting standards.
Support preparation of technical reports, analytical papers, policy briefs, and advisory notes.
Contribute to decision-support tools and systems.
Ensure outputs are evidence-based, clearly structured, and accessible to non-technical audiences.
Assist with the planning and facilitation of multi-stakeholder consultations and technical workshops.
Support coordination with government counterparts, NGOs, and local communities.
Participate in field missions, including data collection, validation, and community engagement activities.
Participate in structured cross-country learning exchanges between Cambodia and Vietnam intern cohorts.
Contribute to joint knowledge products and comparative analysis drawing on both landscape contexts.
Engage with ICEM's regional technical network and knowledge management systems.
Document programme activities, lessons learned, and case studies.
Support internal knowledge management and reporting.
Assist in producing clear, concise communication materials for diverse audiences.

Requirements

Master's Degree is required in environmental science, climate change, natural resource management, geography, or a related discipline for 2 years as a minimum.
Demonstrated connection with ethnic minority, indigenous, or other marginalized communities in the Mekong region strongly encouraged to apply.
Demonstrated analytical and research skills, including capacity to synthesize complex information.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills, with evidence of technical writing.
Demonstrated interest in climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development in the Mekong region.
Experience and familiarity with Cambodia, Khmer proficiency.
Familiarity with GIS, remote sensing, and spatial analysis tools.
An understanding of climate adaptation frames, protected area management, and GEDSI principles is an advantage.
