Study Abroad Counsellor will provide advice and support to prospective study abroad students throughout the process of identifying and selecting appropriate courses, education institutions, scholarships, and applying for course entry and visas.
In addition, counselors are responsible for providing application support to family members applying for partner, guardian or visitor visas.
Counsellors play a supporting role in providing information to education partners and providing training to and university-based study abroad staff to understand the process and required levels of documentation for student applications.
Identify and conduct outreach with prospective education partners, form agreements.
Attend university and education partner training events and shops.
Identify the skills and career interests and goals of prospective students.
Counsel prospective students regarding appropriate study abroad options.
Complete application forms for admissions and visas on behalf of applying students, gathering all required documentation and background information and conducting necessary checks and verification.
Ensure the follow-up with the clients on their application status until the case is complete.
Liaise with overseas education providers throughout the application process, responding in a timely manner to all requests.
Liaise with applying students resolving queries and sourcing addition information as required Provide status updates to applicants throughout the process Maintain all confidential client information and documents in a secure manner as per the relevant policy.
