About the role

Gather background information, compile data from reliable sources, and pitch weekly original news story ideas to editors.
Conduct interviews with local sources, attend press conferences, and assist senior reporters covering local community events.
Draft short articles, write compelling news scripts, and proofread multimedia content aligned with organizational standards.
Cross-checking facts, quotes, dates, and historical information to maintain strict accuracy and journalistic integrity.
Organize news archival files, monitor breaking news wires, and assist editors with daily digital and publishing operations.

Requirements

Cambodian nationality.
Fresh graduated in journalism, Media, Communication, Economics, English or a related field.
Strong written and spoken English and native-level Khmer.
Computer skills Microsoft office, Video and photographic.
Basic knowledge of digital publishing, social media, and web content management.
Ability to meet editorial deadlines and follow established reporting standards
Ability to conduct interviews, research information, and communicate findings clearly and accurately.
Basic understanding of Cambodia’s and economic environment.
3 to 6 months (with the possibility of extension or permanent role based on performance).
