About the role

The technical supporter will assist the implementation of the after service by directly assisting the WQ and Technical Manager. He is supporting the specific interventions on site, the sourcing of technical equipment and developing technical documents and specifications. Mission 1 : Technical support

Participate to the elaboration of the Standards, Procedures and Policies of the technical department
Participate to the critical intervention assigned by the manager
Support the technicians and the other team members for site intervention or visits
Participate to the deployment of the Kiosk 2.0
Support the implementation of R&D projects
Responsible of the document compilation and translation (SOP, procedure, specification, etc.) Mission 2 : Procurement and sourcing
Participate and support the procurement department by sourcing potential suppliers
Update the Technical equipment’s catalogue according to the need of the technical department
Visit potential suppliers
Evaluate the suppliers and check the quality of the equipment (at the delivery and sourcing) Mission 3 : Training/Capacity buildings
Support the Technician Supervisor to develop training contents
Participate to the trainings
Participate to the Technical Committee Mission 4 : Other tasks
Support some research activities follow the assignation from the Technical and Water Quality Manager.
Other tasks assigned by the WQ and Technical Manager

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Electricity, water and environmental engineering, water treatment system/plumbing system, or related field HISTORY: 3 years of experience as technician. Has experience in both electrical and water sector is preferable for 3 to 5 years. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: General & Technical Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills (both in Khmer and English)
Excellent organizational skills
Be able to do multi tasks
Knowledge in technical skills, electricity or plumbing drawing is a plus Soft Skills
Rigorous and quality-oriented
Able to travel often to remote area (at least 50% minimum)

Teuk Saat 1001 is a NGO, established in 2007. Our main mission is to develop water kiosks in the rural communities to improve the access of safe drinking water in a sustainable manner. Teuk Saat 1001 has been dedicated for more than 15 years in providing safe drinking water. The role of Teuk Saat 1001, besides developing station, is to support the entrepreneurs by providing a range of services such as technical support, monthly water quality monitoring and personalized coaching. Today, through a network of 900 entrepreneurs, operating 342 kiosks in Cambodia, in 18 provinces, O-We (brand of Teuk Saat 1001) is serving, on the daily basis, we serve more than 1 million beneficiaries, including 376,000 schoolchildren, who receive safe water for free in 1000 primary schools across 18 provinces Teuk Saat 1001 as the local partner of the French non-profit 1001fontaines. 1001fontaines is also active in Madagascar, Vietnam and Myanmar.
