About the role

The Market Facilitator will be responsible for enhancing input/output market access and linkages for smallholder farmers engaged in horticulture.
This role involves building relationships with various stakeholders in the horticulture value chain, including farmers, buyers, and agries, to create sustainable market opportunities.
Build and manage relationships and linkages within the agricultural market systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in agriculture, agri, marketing, economics, rural development or another relevant field is preferred.
Candidates must be well organized, able to independently, skilled at handling multiple tasks, able to meet deadlines and in stressful situations and willing to travel overnight in the fields.
Relevant experience in agricultural sales, sourcing or procurement, market linkage or value-chain development, agricultural cooperatives or farmer organizations, input supply or agricultural services, or development programs working with farmers and private-sector actors.
Experience working in horticulture or with smallholder farmers is an advantage.
Knowledge of the agricultural sector and market actors in Kampot or southern Cambodia is an advantage.
Experience with Market Systems Development (MSD) or market-based development approaches is desirable but not required.
Positive team attitude and customer service focus.
